Is the shape of my breast OK? (Photo)

Question

I’m 25 days PO. I had a breast lift w implants 375 extra full profile but I feel my implants are too high, and the nipples are too low with a square shape. I wear a band to make them go down for two weeks but they haven’t change much. Is this normal at this point? They are going to end up with a nice round shape? The nipple will get its regular position or not? Also I feel hard spots inside the left breast, my doctor say it’s normal but I’m not sure. Should I seek for a second opinion?

Congratulations on your procedure! Based on your photos, your breasts appear to be healing well. Your implants are sitting a little high but it can take anywhere from several weeks to several months for the implants to settle into their final position. If recommended by your surgeon, there are other methods that can be used to increase the implants to drop such as massage. I recommend discussing any concerns with your surgeon as he or she is best equipped to answer questions regarding your particular case. Best of luck!

Dear Tetas123,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 25 days  post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD

Thank you for your pictures and questions. You are not even a month out from surgery and at this point there is still a lot of healing and settling that has to take place. Expect to wait 3-6 months to see your final results. As long as you chose a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and chose a reasonable implant, you are in good hands and stand to have a great result.
