Can you be under 18 and get a tummy tuck?

I was wondering if you can get a tummy tuck and be under 18 with parents approval. I have lost a significant amount of weight. So I have a lot of lose and saggy skin my stomach. And I think a tummy tuck would be a good way to take off the saggy skin.

If you are an appropriate candidate for a tummy tuck based on extreme weight loss, a tummy tuck may well be appropriate.  You are correct that this will require parental consent. I don't think most surgeons would have a problem performing your surgery, assuming you are a good candidate.

Hi and thanks for your question. Well done on your weight loss. Surgical removal of excess saggy abdominal skin is undoubtedly the best method to improve the contour of this area of the body. However it does have associated risks and you will likely need revision surgery in the future such as after childbirth of after significant weight changes if this happens during your adult life. If you and your parents wish to proceed go to an accredited plastic surgeon for the best advice. Good luck

You certainly should consider contouring procedure to help you survive this difficult time (adolescence is a very hard time to grow through for everyone) and with your parent's approval, you should easily find a local plastic surgeon who can help you.  KNOW the surgeon's revision policy as with excess skin like in your situation, you should anticipate needing one.

Age does not matter - if a patient has loose skin, removal is the only effective solution at this time.  A young woman who has an abdominoplasty and later has a pregnancy can expect the result to suffer and possibly need a revisionl

The surgery is not age dependent, so it is perfectly fine to have the TT if you like. Just understand that future pregnancies may require a redo TT.
