What procedures actually work for crepey skin on arms, legs, and hands? (Photo)

Question

I am 44 years old and I have crepe skin everywhere. I look much older than my age. Is there anything that can be done? I look at this as an investment in myself so I don't mind sending a bit of money on it but I am don't want to take out a second mortgage on my house. What are treatments that actually work? If it is an arm and leg lift I am find with that but I just want something that works!

In my opinion, the microneedle radio frequency device with the most energy and creation of collagen and elastin is the Profound device. It works well on crepey skin on arms and legs. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Hi Wendi. For both the arms and legs, nonsurgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. Skin tightening can be done with a combination of Vanquish, truSculpt iD, Venus Legacy, Exilis, and Cellutone/Zwave. However for best results, an arm lift / thigh lift procedure can be combined with a hi-definition procedure at the same time. I recommend VASER HI-DEF with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result.The hands can be rejuvenated with a combination of fillers like Radiesse and Belotero, fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and lasers like Fraxel. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist and hi-definition physique expert to develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. There are multiple ways to treat this.  I only see your hand photo.  Fraxel laser to the lower arm and hands can improve on the skin appearance but will not address the lack of volume on the back of the hand.  I would recommend a fat transfer to the back of the hands to address that.  Fat can be obtained form the abdomen or thigh area and placed there easily to fill out that volume defect.  Fillers can also be used but have a shorter duration compared to fat.  If your skin laxity is not too great then Lipo with laser or a newer energy called Renuvion Plasma can easily pull the skin up in both the thighs and arms.  Doing that should give you a nice look with skin improvement without the scarring from surgery.  Hope this helps
