How long to wait after upper bleph before a revision? (Photo)

Seems like all the doctors so far have said the same thing. Wait about 6 months.
I'm going to add my name to this list. However, I'll emphasize something else. The revision is really easy. Local anesthesia is all that is needed and much less swelling. In my experience, it makes people very happy. This is because the revision works and is worth doing it. Wait - yes. But proceed with it, if you don't have resolution of what is bothering you.

I would wait at least 6 months before revising any upper eyelid surgery, like the problem that you are experiencing.  There is small amounts of swelling that need to resolve and the tissue needs that time to fully heal.

There is no hard and fast rule about when to do a revision, but I agree that 4-6 months would be the earliest. The position of your eyebrows can shift around after eyelid surgery. Your brain needs to get used to not engaging your forehead muscles to pull up the extra skin and this process can take time to stabilize. You look great overall even if you end up needing a minor revision to maximize the symmetry.

I agree with your doctor's advice.  Waiting six months allows for full resolution of swelling and healing prior to considering revisional surgery.  Best of luck.

I usually wait 6 months as well to allow all of the swelling to resolve and for complete healing. Even though most of it is gone by 2 months there is always a little still there and it can make a for a noticeable difference. I have seen many patients who I thought migh need a small revision at 2 months not need one by 6 months. That being said there are some instances where I have revised sooner depending on the specifics of the patient but never before 3 months.
