I've always had under eye bags and dark circles and always attributed it to school. But now that I'm graduated and get regular sleep, I've noticed they haven't gone away and I've also begun to notice how asymmetrical they are, especially when I smile. This makes me feel very self conscious and I don't mind having them, but I want them to look the same. What would be the best way to fix this problem? Is there anything I can do to prevent it from getting worse?
Answer: Fillers I WOULD TRY FILLERS BEFORE GOING IN AND DOING SURGERY , THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAT TRANSFER AND FILLERS ARE FILLER ARE LESS INVASIVE AND CAN LAST 6-9 MONTHS SOMETIMES UP TO A YEAR DEPENDING ON WHICH ONES. FAT TRANSFERS ARE USUALLY SURGICALLY DONE WITH LIPO AND TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER AREA OF THE BODY. A FAT TRANSFER CAN ALSO BE DONE THROUGH A LOCAL AFTER SURGERY FOR A REPEAT FAT INJECTION. FAT INJECTIONS OR TRANSFERS ARE USUALLY MORE PERMANENT. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU MAY WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT IN A CONSULTATION AND SEE WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE.

Answer: Best solution for asymmetrical under-eye area in early 20s? You have under eye bags (fat prolapse) and tear trough hollowness (dark circles), asymmetrically. Options are filler injection in hollow area vs. lower blepharoplasty (transconjunctival) with fat repositioning. Each has pros/cons. See an oculoplastic specialist.

Answer: Put your finger on top of your "bag." What you are feeling is your bony orbital rim and not herniated orbital fat. For you under eye fillers are a better option than surgery. I have one of the largest practices of filling under eye circles and see pateints for this from all over the world. You are asking for the doctor to sculpt your face. To not let anyone inject you in this area with the smooth fillers like foul Volbella, Restylane Silk, and Belotero for example. These products do not stay precisely where they have been put. They are called smooth because they drift after injection to smooth bumps. That does not work for the under eye area. You need a precisely placed filler that does not drift to get the best possible result. I use Restylane for this purpose. Service last a year or more.

My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often.
