For how long should I stop weight lifting after hair transplantation?

I suggest my patients to wait for 1 month in order to do sports including heavy weight  lifting. 

It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.Personalized medical treatment advice on the Internet without a good history and examination is inaccurate and may lead to confusion and misinformation.

Generally it is a good idea to wait 4 weeks post op before returning to the gym after an FUE procedure. Strip (FUT) patients need to wait 3 - 4 months before returning to the gym because of the scar fully healing in the donor region.Our patients who have PRP with their FUE can return to the gym earlier post op and return to their normal showering routine faster after their procedure, as fast as two weeks post op. The faster healing time also allows patients to return to work sooner after their hair restoration.

The first four weeks are key importance to healing to recovery.  Heavy Lifting cant cause problems for sure within the first 3 weeks and so we advise 4 weeks to be safe of limited training, especially heavy weights.

You may start to gym, heavy exercises and swimming 2 weeks after the FUE operation. Jogging, running, sauna, cycling etc don't give any harm after 2 weeks of operation 

First 2 weeks after Hair transplant are very important, because during that period your transplanted grafts are utilizing in new area, better not to work out. But after 3-4 weeks you can start visiting gym and there wont be any handicaps. 

The first few weeks are very important as the grafts start to heal into their transplanted environment.  Vigorous exercise increase blood pressure and can lead to bleeding in and around the transplants.

Assuming that you had FUE, you can resume weight lifting within 4 days; however, if you had a strip surgery, you should wait 3 weeks at a minimum
