Hello, After a nasal fracture, it's important to let your nose heal properly before applying makeup to avoid complications. Here’s a general guideline:Initial Healing (1-2 Weeks): In the first week or two, it's best to avoid applying any makeup to your nose. This is because your skin may still be healing, and applying makeup could irritate the area or introduce bacteria. After Initial Healing (2 Weeks and Beyond): Once the initial swelling and bruising have subsided, you can typically start applying makeup again. However, it’s crucial to use gentle products and techniques to avoid disturbing the healing process. Opt for non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic products to reduce the risk of irritation.Consult Your Doctor: Always follow the specific advice given by your healthcare provider. They can give you personalized recommendations based on the severity of your fracture and your overall healing progress. If you experience any unusual symptoms or if the area seems particularly sensitive, it’s a good idea to check in with your doctor before resuming makeup application.
Provided there is no break in the skin of your nose, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to cover up any bruising from a recent nasal trauma. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hello and thank you for your question. I allow my patients to wear make up one week after rhinoplasty. You can apply make up immediately after a nasal fracture if you want to. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. It's certainly acceptable to put make up on it anytime after a nasal fracture. In our practice, we perform closed rhinoplasty with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose, so patients can continue to put make-up on immediately after their surgery.
