I'm very self conscious of my nostril and tip area and want to know if I'm a good candidate for a rhinoplasty? I'm worried my case complex due to hanging columella or retraced alar? Does this require grafts?

Answer: Rhinoplasty with possible septoplasty and graft The width of your nose is too great over the bridge. Also, the nasal columella angle is about 90 degrees and needs to be 110 degrees. You would benefit from a rhinoplasty with possible septoplasty with graft. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty, I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. In your case, you do have a hanging columella and arched alar rims. I see this combination very commonly and remove the caudal septum and perform alar rim grafts. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you
