Thank you for your question. In my experience, results with both Juvederm Ultra and Vollure, usually last from 6 months to a year.
Dear carocap,I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Results will last between 6-9 months. Each injector will have their preference, but I find that Vollure offers natural looking results. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns. I hope this helps.
While it can vary, results usually last at least 6 months or longer. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. sometime a surgical improvement with lip lift may help too. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. The duration of results will depend on each person's metabolism as well as the amount of product placed to achieve a particular result. For most patients you can expect 6+ months, but this can vary tremendously. Talk to ASPS board certified plastic surgeons for the best decision on filler material.

I find that both Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus last about 6 months, and Vollure/Volift maybe 1-3 months longer. The choice of filler depends on what is being achieved, how thin the lips are to start with, the goal of the patient, etc. There is a role for all 3 fillers. The duration of the filler is less important than the look you'll have for the 6 months and the injector who will ensure a natural looking symmetric non-Hollywood daffy duck look. Find a well trained expert physician injector such as a dermatologist to optimize your results and safety.
Most lip fillers last between 6-9 months although this can vary. Both are hyaluronic acid based fillers. Other fillers that maybe used on the lips are Restylane, Restylane Silk, and Restylane Refyne/Defyne. The best thing to do is schedule an in person consultation with a local aesthetic physician to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
Most lip fillers are hyaluronic acid derived, some are specifically designed to enhance the lip in a natural fashion - Restylane silk and Volbella, but many others, Belatero, juvederm Ultra, Vollure are used as well. Most will last for 4 to 6 months, though they will not completely disappear for up to one year.
The company reports juvederm vollure lasts up to 18 months in about 2/3 of patients and Juvederm ultra plus lasts about 1 year. The longevity of the product is based on many other factors though such as location of injection and your body’s metabolism of the product. These products are all absorbed faster in the lips compared to an area like the cheeks. This results from us constantly moving our lips throughout the day versus our cheeks which do not move much. Both products last at least 6 to 9 months but usually longer in the lips. I hope this helps, Dr. Ardeshirpour
While swelling can be typical, this is more than normal. I recommend speaking with your injector. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results.
Sounds like there are some major concerns. It is unlikely you will be anaphylactic to the hyaluraonic acid filler; however there is still a possibility so I would get testing. A small amount can be placed (not on your face) and you can be observed and monitred for a reaction in the right setting...
Possibly-best to follow up with your injector to be sure. You may just have thick areas from bruising and/or swelling from the injection itself that has nothing to do with the filler OR you could have some larger filler deposits that would benefit from some massage. The sooner you touch base w...
