There is no contra indication to taking this supplement. Another supplement that is often taken to reduce bruising is Arnica; but again there is no specific evidence that it works. I encourage patients to take Arnica as it does help some patients.
I am not aware of any issues with taking magnesium adversely affects bleeding after surgery. Ideally a patient should be off all medications which aren't absolutely necessary, but I don't imagine this will be an issue.. Check with your plastic surgeon to be sure.
