Thanks for the question. After 4-6 month your operation area is totally healed and yes you can play golf and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.
i tell my patients 8 weeks for any exercise that you have to tighten your abdominal wall. that is only my opinion and others may vary. hit them straight!!
I let my patients resume activities like golf in 4-6 weeks but you need to follow your doctors advice because he/she is the only one that knows exactly what was done.
The post op instructions are always given by your Doctor. Only after you completely healed-- you can resume your activities.
The ability to golf after a tummy tuck would be impacted by how aggressive a player you are and what kind of tummy tuck you had. In my practice, my patients resume activities after 6 weeks. They can resume activities sooner if the muscles are not plicated. Regardless of what is said here, you should check with your surgeon and adhere to his/her recommendations since you entrusted that person to do the best for you.
The ideal healing period is 6-8 weeks after a tummy tuck, but you should always follow your doctors post op instructions. Give your board certified plastic surgeon a call to double check on the answer and they will give you the appropriate time frame to wait before golfing again. Good luck healing and good luck on the golf course!

Thank you for your question. Of course it is essential that you follow this is specific advice of your board certified plastic surgeon. If you have fully healed and have had a muscle repair most likely you need to wait 6-8 weeks.
If your muscles were tightened at the time of your TT, I would wait 6-8 weeks. It takes a good 6 weeks for repaired muscles to heal with full strength.
If you had muscle repair, the full golf swing probably won't feel good for 6-8 weeks. But much earlier than that you can go to your practice facility and work on your short game.
The most important decision to be made before performing any surgical procedure is determining whether you are an ideal #candidate. #Weight, and more specifically body mass index (BMI), need to be considered when deciding. For instance, studies have shown that patients with BMI > 30kg/m sq...
You have no clear signs of infection. Some of the subcuticular sutures are spitting out which is normal. They should dissolve on their own or your plastic surgeon will remove them. There is some redness which is common due to the inflammatory response associated with healing...
I just repair the hernias at the same time at no cost to you, as the insurance reimbursement is pathetic and they will make you pay the deductible.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
A picture would be helpful. Loose, hanging tissue on the hips, thighs, and groin, can sometimes be improved with a properly placed tummy tuck incision. The result, including the amount of improvement and how long it lasts, will be different for each person. It depends on a lot of factors like...
Thank you for your pictures. Your wound separation is best treated by removing the extruding stitches and local wound care with medicated gauze. Earl Stephenson, Jr, MD, DDS, FACS
