4 Weeks post Tummy Tuck. My incision is green in spots, is it infected? (photo)

Question

I don't have a discharge from it or bad odor is dry but the green color on the little dots shown on the pic scare me ??They removed the surgical tape last Thursday and I'm almost 4 weeks. That day they took off one of the stitches from the surgery and im afraid that i'm getting an infection any recommendations I'v been using alcohol to clean the wound and its really dry. I'm not having fever . Just a discomfort of the surgery

You have no clear signs of infection.  Some of the subcuticular sutures are spitting out which is normal.  They should dissolve on their own or your plastic surgeon will remove them.  There is some redness which is common due to the inflammatory response associated with healing.  I would not use alcohol on the incision and only an antibiotic ointment at this time.  Best wishes!

Thank you for your picture. You have small areas of incision opening and scabbing. You also have some redness. I don't think you are currently infected.  I would see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible for an evaluation.

Superficial wound seperation is common in incisions that are closed under tension, such as an abdominoplasty incision.  Superficial dehiscence is such settings can seem like the wound is infected when it is often not.  You should keep your surgeon apprised of your progress and follow her/his advice

You need VERY VERY close follow up with your surgeon at least twice a week in person. Also possible need for PO antibiotics...
