I have a small opening about 1-1.5". It's not deep at all. There are stitches poking out and a hard white thing with hooks was stuck to my binder. I'm guessing that was an internal stitch. There is another item making its way out which can be seen in one of the pictures. What kind of treatment is usually done on wounds like this? I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to have it treated. I've been taking antibiotics for 18 days as my drains are still in. Will this just require ointment and bandages?

Answer: Open wound in tummy tuck incision. What kind of treatment?
No insurance will cover a tummy tuck. I would recommend that you see a pain management doctor.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA...................................
Pain in the early post-operative period after tummy tuck, or any other procedure, should be known by your surgeon. A physical examination is necessary to accurately diagnose the cause of your pain.
There is no fixed waiting time I would request you to wait till you feel better and comfortable to undergo a second procedure which is much more extensive then an endoscopy. A week or two may be good enough.
