Thank you for sharing your question. It appears that you are nearly healed from your micro needling session and should be able to pursue Botox. Depending on the extent of micro needling performed I typically have patients wait 3-5 days before receiving Botox. Hope this helps.
Hi @hscovill! I recommend waiting until you are fully healed before having your Botox treatment. Typically, 3-5 days is appropriate. Best of luck to you!
Thank You for your question. You can do both treatments on the same day. We do the microneedling first and follow up with Botox. if you are concerned about doing them in conjunction, you can wait 72 hours. Best, Dr. Emer.
You will need to make sure you're completely healed from your microneedling treatment before pursuing BOTOX. This can take around 3 to 5 days, depending on the degree of your microneedling and your own individual healing. Make sure when you're scheduling your BOTOX injections that you mention your microneedling and that you're choosing a qualified, experienced injector. Be ready to reschedule your BOTOX if you arrive and your injector determines that you're not fully healed from microneedling enough for injection.
There really isn’t any reason to wait for your Botox injections. The two treatments can provide a nice complement to one another, as the microneedling will create a smoother, refreshed complexion while the Botox reduces the appearance of wrinkles around the forehead and eyes. It is imperative you work with a doctor who is both board-certified and experienced in these treatments to ensure both your procedures are safe and successful.
Just having redness from microeedling is not a reason to avoid Botox injections. Botox can be done when there is no evidence of swelling and there are not open sores. Normally a few days after microneedling is safe but I have seen microneedling with radiofrequency, although usually healed in 2-3 days, take as long as two weeks in one individual when it was done to her neck.Your doctor should evaluate your skin and make sure it's safe to have the Botox. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Thanks for your question, it's something we get asked in the office very frequently. The time needed to wait after getting microneedling really depends on the depth of your treatment and the inflammtion response that you get. If it's a light treatment, you could get botox the same day after the microneedling. But generally after a moderately aggressive treatment, we recommend waiting 3-5 days to allow the skin sufficient time to heal after microneedling before getting botox. Hope that helps.Best, Dr Rosy Sandhu
I generally recommend to wait 3-5 days with Botox injections after microneedling to make sure that most of the irritation/inflammation of the procedure has resolved prior to injecting with neuromodulators such as Botox.Best wishes,Thomas Walker, MD, FACS
Thank you for your picture and question. It looks like you are doing well from your treatment. If a patient has microneedling first, I typically have them wait a few days to a week before getting Botox just to be safe. In our office, we provide miconeedling and Botox with the same appointment. However, if you have already received your microneedling, I would recommend waiting 48-72 hours to allow your skin time to heal before getting Botox injections.
Botox has been used for decades as a medical treatment for conditions like uncontrollable eyelid twitching. However, the treatment does require precision in needle placement to produce an optimal outcome. In your case, it is possible the needle wasn’t placed exactly to reduce twitching without a...
Ninety units of Botox is quite a high dose for the glabella area. It can take up to two weeks for Botox to be in full effect so you will want to wait another week before determining the effectiveness of the treatment. If you are not seeing improvement after ninety units you may be resistant.
Thanks for your question. Azzalure and Botox are purified proteins derived from a bacteria, which when injected into a muscle temporarily stops the signal from the nerves to the muscle so it can stay relaxed for 3-5 months and then regain its normal activity. It does not travel in the...
