I'm booked in to have Rhinoplasty but I'm asthmatic Is this safe to do?

Rhinoplasty requires exceptional skill on behalf of the surgeon and great communication with the patient about realistic goals and expectations. Common cosmetic concerns include a dorsal hump, wide nose, sunken nose, irregularities, and asymmetries. Functional concerns include difficulty breathing through the nose, which can and should be addressed at the same time as your rhinoplasty.

In your situation, you would need a medical evaluation by your medical provider prior to surgery.

Asthma and diabetes are not an obstacle for Rhinoplasty surgery. However, certain issues need attention. Blood sugar regulation is different for diabetes. With special treatment, fluid and drug treatment for diabetes patients during and after the surgery. It is also given in asthma during and after surgery.
