Do implants still need to "drop" into a more natural position after an implant exchange, and how long does it take the second or third time around. From a 485 HP to a 650 HP Thank you!

Implants will "drop" after surgery as the tissues stretch and relax. This process typically takes 6 months to complete. When exchanging implants, the same process will occur, but the time may shorten depending on the amount of added size. As you are going up less that 200cc, this process may be shorter for you.

dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.

How much and how fast your implants drop depend on many reasons:

1. Your skin and tissue elasticity
2. Whether or not your tissue was stretched out or damaged from prior implants
3. Whether or not the surgeon chooses to create an "internal bra" to keep the new i plant lifted up

Its safe to say in most cases, surgeons will overcorrect a bit and the implant will stay high at first. The settling process can take up to 3 months.

With going up in size, there may be not much dropping until your tissue no longer supports such heavy implants. Typically at 6 months, your implants are where they will be.
