I was told at my consultation the surgeon will be using vaser to retrieve the fat for transfer to my buttocks and hips. Should I be concerned about the fat quality and survival especially as the amount offered for each side will be 500cc? I only plan to do this surgery once so I would really appreciate your help and advice. Thank you
Answer: HIGH QUALITY OF FAT CELLS HARVESTED DURING VASER LIPO. Hello Ammi71, I appreciate your questions! Studies have shown good viability of the fat cells harvested using the VASER liposuction machine. As long as the amplitude used is around 50% or less with the VASER mode, the viability of the fat harvested should be good. The viability of the fat harvested may be compromised if the amplitude used is more than 70%. VASERlipo uses a precise, minimally invasive liposuction technology that produces eye-catching results in just one procedure and provides many benefits versus traditional liposuction treatments. In this respect, VASERlipo is the only liposuction procedure clinically proven to cause 40% skin retraction. Adipocytes/fat cells harvested using the VASER Liposuction are typically of high quality and are viable to reintroduce into the body. The pressure used to extract the fat is also minimal (around - 15mmHG) as opposed to the standard 25mmHg which can be affect the viability of the fat cells harvested. To be performed successfully, the Brazilian Butt Lift requires a surgeon with highly developed skills based on experience and knowledge of the technique. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz.

Answer: Vaser liposuction hello anmi71 YES, this is known as fat transfer procedure, because the fat removed during Vaser liposuction is usually of high quality and can be easily reintroduced to other parts of the body. Since it is your own fat, there are no concerns of rejection or complication seen with implants. Common uses are for breast augmentation and Brazilian buttock lift. #options #buttlift

Answer: BBL with Vaser Liposuction Thank you for your question! If the Vaser machine is properly used and the surgeon is skilled there will be no issues in obtaining high quality fat which will survive once transferred into your buttocks. I use a specific setting with my Vaser machine, which allows full survival of fat cells. Moreover, I re-inject the fat into the buttocks using small syringes. This allows an optimal and homogeneous distribution of the fat within the whole surface of the butt cheek. Using these techniques, I can assure at least 80-90% of fat survival and I can transfer up to 1.0-1.2 litres of fat into each buttock. This type of surgery is meant to be done only once. The goal is to obtain a permanent change in your body shape. Thank you

Answer: VASER FAT transfer to buttocks Thank you for posting an important question. I have been utilizing VASER FAT since 2008 for FAT transfer into the buttocks area with great success. we found also very good quality and quantity of stem cell in extracted FAT from VASER. Still there are mixed reviews on these findings and we still need to publish our results. There is no doubt that like many other plastic surgery procedures FAT obtained from VASER require good experience and technique. There are mixed reviews on this by many doctors as some says Ultrasound Liposuction emulsify and destroy fat cells however VASER utilizes different amount of ultrasound energy and causes fat disruption rather than emulsification at certain dose of energy. Results of Fat transfer from VASER is quite good in my practice and i have no hesitation in recommending it. I hope this answer your question.

Answer: VASER and BBL Good afternoon Ammi, Thank you very much for introducing such an important topic. It has been proved very clearly that low intensity VASER does not kill the fat cells and their viability is comparable with those having liposuction alone (non-VASER). The reabsorption rate has never been shown to be better or worst between VASER and non-VASER patients having BBL. Personally I use VASER when needed and I have plenty of long term results absolutely comparable with non-VASER patients. I hope this will help and I wish you the best of luck with your BBL. With best regards,
