hello cici7526 A short period of rest of 12-24 hours is usually recommended immediately after the procedure. Activity is largely dependent upon how you, the patient feels. Like traditional liposuction, there are no large incisions or treatment of underlying tissues such as muscle that need healing. Recovery is mostly base on the level of soreness or bruising that you may experience, however, most activity is unlikely to delay healing or create problems with recovery. #recovery #abdomen
Thank you for your questions regarding VASER liposuction of the abdomen and love handles. In general, the time it takes to perform VASER liposuction really depends on how much work needs to be done. However, on average, VASER liposuction to the abdomen and love handles takes me approximately two to three hours to perform. However, this is completely patient dependent, and depends on how much work you need or want done. Some VASER liposuction is just performed to remove excess abdominal fat. For other patients who want a six-pack, VASER liposuction is performed to chisel away and display the abdominal wall musculature. Obviously, this takes longer. After the surgery, please plan on wearing your garments for approximately six weeks. Typically, you are able to return to work approximately one to two weeks after VASER liposuction of the abdomen and love handles. Thank you for your questions regarding VASER liposuction to the abdomen and love handles. If you have any more questions regarding VASER liposuction, please contact my office.Sincerely,Dr. Katzen
Hello Cici7526, Thanks for your questions! Typically, I meet with my patients 2-3 weeks prior to the surgery in order to explain the procedure and answer all their concerns. Depending on many specific aspects of the surgery such as how much fat would be removed, the operating room time would fluctuate between 5 and 7 hours. Each patient will have different healing deadlines. As short as one week after the surgery, patients could return to work and their normal daily life. After 2 weeks, they can resume physical activity. Patients are likely to be fully recovered from 6-8 weeks after the Vaser Lipo has been performed. Have in mind that maximum results for Vaser Lipo would take up to 6 months to show. Good luck and may God bless you! Dr. De La Cruz.
The length of the procedure time can vary, but you may experience swelling for 3-6 months following your procedure. However, VASER combined with ThermiRf and fat grafting will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a high definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi There, Thanks for your question, the length of time of your procedure will depend on how much fat and contouring that your body will need in addition to the skill of your surgeon. If you have having a hi def procedure with multiple areas that can increase the length of procedure time. Length of time is not as important as the final outcome. Most of my patients who have a vaser procedure are back to work within 24 hrs, you will feel sore after the procedure but every day will improve, I recommend no high intensity workouts for 14 days post procedure. To get the best results I pair my treatments with a lymphatic masseuse and offer all patients a non invasive skin tightening procedure. Your final results should be apparent in 6-9 months

Without seeing you in person, it is impossible to tell you how long Vaser Liposuction on your abdomen and love handles would take to perform. The answer to that varies according to how large a person is. I can tell you more about the recovery process. After the procedure, I have patients spend the rest of that day on the couch, taking it easy. The next day, however, I want them up and walking as much as possible. The more you move, the better you will feel and the more quickly the swelling and bruising will resolve. You should plan on taking 2-3 days off work and not doing any heavy exercise for about 2 weeks. Most physicians have you wear a compression garment for two weeks around the clock (except for when you shower) and for another 1-2 weeks at night only. You will likely look worse for about two weeks because of the swelling. Somewhere between 2-4 weeks, you will begin to notice improvement and, in general, by about 6 weeks, you will be loving your results!
That is a good question. It really depends on the amount of work that needs to be performed. The more that there is to work on the longer it will take. When doing the Vaser part of the procedure the surgeon needs to put enough heat into the area with the Vaser Probe to have skin contraction and also break up of the fat before performing the liposuction part of the procedure.. If the area is fibrous in nature then it takes a little longer. It can take from 3 hours or more depending on how much is present to remove and how big of area that the surgeon is working on. It would be best to have a consultation with a surgeon that has a lot of experience in this procedure. Thank you for your question.
Thanks for your question.Performing Vaser Liposuction on areas such as upper/lower abdomen and flanks (love handles) might take from 2 to 3 hours depending on the amount of fat to be removed, type and consistency of fat, previous liposuction procedures on the same areas, type of sedation used (twilight or general). It is usually a very smooth procedure which can be completed without any delays within this time frame. Immediately after completion of the procedure the patient is dressed up with compression garments and remains in recovery for about 2 hours, until safe to leave the premises with an escort.During the recovery time, nurses will administrate IV fluids to the patient, monitoring all vitals, making sure the patient goes to toilet and reviewing with the patient all the post-operative care instructions. In layman terms, if a patient arrives at 8am for Vaser Lipo on upper/lower abdomen and love handles, he/she might be able to go back home generally around 1-2pm.In regards to medium/long term recovery, the patient is required to attend lymphatic drainage massages at our clinic during the following 2 weeks. This speeds up recovery time and decreases swelling.Generally the patient might experience mild soreness (mostly on abdomen area) for up to 5-7 days but is pain free after that. Swelling goes down within 1-2 weeks (a bit longer if Vaser Lipo on lower legs/calves/ankles). Return to mild physical activities (swimming) in 3 weeks. Return to full physical activities (gym, heavy lifting) after 6 weeks. Compression garments need to be worn for 3 weeks full time (24 hours, apart when showering) and 3 weeks part time (12 hours).Hope this helps.Kind Regards,Dr Francesco Fascetti
Surgery takes 3 hours and recovery takes 2 weeks. Taking part in aerobic exercise after surgery is expected from our patients.
