I only had scar revision on the middle part of the tummy tuck scar, not the full scar & Vaser Lipo on the scar area. My original tt was 1 year ago. I am very swollen & sore. When would it be ok for me to go for a walk as I’m usually very active? Thank you
Answer: Vaser liposuction: actvities hello jodierosie81 The surgeon will also instruct you on the period of time to wait before normal activities and exercise can be continued. Patients can expect to resume normal activities in 1-2 weeks, office work in 3-5days, active jobs in 14days, exercise in 2weeks, walking, swimming, or riding a stationary bicycle a few days after surgery. #activity #walking

Answer: WALKING HELPS PREVENT BLOOD CLOTS IN THE LEGS. Hello, jodierosie81, I appreciate your questions! Each patient will have different recovery deadlines after VASER lipo and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) revision. Starting the night of the surgery, it is important that patients try to walk, to help prevent any blood clots in the legs. Although the healing process vary among patients, usually they can return to work and daily normal life in a week after the procedure. Your body may look swollen for months, but after 6 months you might appreciate your new and amazing abdominal zone. I would recommend you wearing specialized compression garments for at least 8 weeks and getting a minimum of ten lymphatic drainage massage sessions to remove the excess lymph fluid and totally alleviate the swelling and discomfort. Implementing healthy eating habits and regular exercise (taking advantage of your new increased metabolism) is essential to keep stimulating weight loss and avoiding retrieving the rendered fat. Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.

Answer: Every surgeon has a different protocol Hi there,Great question but each surgeon will have a different protocol for you based on what they think are best and what has been best from experience. As a general rule I have all my patients walking around post op day 1 and continue non strenuous exercise for atleast 2 weeks. Once you have completed that two week post op, you can resume physical exercise activity. I would add lymphatic massages to your regime to help you heal the best!

Answer: Activity after TT Scar Revision + Lipo Thanks for your question. I usually tell my patients to get up and walk around the house at least once the night of surgery and then starting on day 1 postoperative, take a 15-20 minute walk once or twice per day. Each surgeon has his or own specific recommendations, but it is generally believed that the worst thing one can do is to be a couch-potato for days after surgery. That can set you up for complications, such as blood clots, among other things. Blood clots can form in the deep veins of the legs then break loose and travel to different parts of the body, wreaking havoc and even causing death in extreme cases. Immobility is perhaps the biggest risk factor for developing blood clots - so, generally speaking, walking is good. Check with your surgeon's office too, however, as they may have more specific guidelines for you to follow.

Answer: Exercise after Liposuction-Ask Your Doctor & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave I recommend following up with your Doctor about their protocol regarding exercise after liposuction. After hi definition liposuction, I recommend waiting 3-4 weeks before beginning to exercise and to stop if there is any discomfort. For liposuction after care, I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Best, Dr. Emer
