Pus 1 day after FUE, what can I do? (photo)

Hi, First time positing here. Just noticed these on top of my head and wondering if it’s normal. Had my op yesterday and the day before. Anything I can do or will they jut sort theme selves out. Thanks

Based on your photo and the fact that your procedure was only one day ago I doubt that is pus.It is more likely serum (fluid portion of blood) seeping from a graft site.Proper post op washing should take care of this.Please check with your surgeon.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative issues. If you have an infection, you should contact your doctor for treatment.

This is highly unlikely to be pus after 1 day. It is part of the normal healing process. Stick to your strict aftercare provided by your surgeon. My advice is to wash the hair with the shampoo provided and keep your follicles moist.

Thank you for the post. Since you had the procedure 1 day ago, this looks more like Plasma and it is the normal process during recovery. It is not infection. Hope this clarifies to ease your mind a bit. Daily washes will help minimize the appearance of buildup.

An FUE is treated just like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3 days of surgery, I tell my patients that they can resume full activities, heavy exercises if they wish. The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear of losing grafts and you should be clean of crusts within a day. IF any crust is present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing
