How soon can I sauna after FUE?

Sorry, another FUE question. I love spending 15 minutes in the sauna and the health benefits of them are amazing BUT how soon can I continue to enjoy them again after I’ve had FUE? Will the heat ruin my investment, or will it help with blow flow to the scalp and assist growth?

By 9 days post-transplant the grafts are firmly incorporated into the scalp.At this point we allow our patients to resume any prior activities including sauna.However,you should check with your surgeon first.

My recommendation is to use the sauna after 2 weeks as at this point in time you ahould be scab free. There is no specific time if you are scab free earlier than 2 weeks you cow enjoy your sauna sessions.

The first week after hair transplant is very important, you should be very gentle and follow all instructions. Physical activities only after 10 days, but for sauna and swimming pool should wait at least 3 weeks. However check with your surgeon and clarify with him.

On the 5th day after an FUE procedure grafts will have settled into their new location.  However, we recommend that once both the donor and recipient areas are free of scabs you may resume activities such as visiting the sauna.  In general, give it 10 -14 days depending on how quickly you heal.
