Rhinoplasty after dermal fillers?

i had dermal fillers and botox injected into my nose. this just made me realise that i just did not like the overall size of my nose it wasnt about the bump i was wondering do i really have to wait until all this dissolves until i can get rhinoplasty done or can i just get it done now?

Great question. While Botox will not affect the assessment of your nose or the procedure, it depends on what dermal filler was used. Some fillers can be dissolved with a simple injection, but for the most part, as long as you let your surgeon know what exactly you had done, they will be able to work around it. Make sure you schedule an appointment for a consultation with a specialist plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in rhinoplasty. They will be able to accurately assess your needs and offer options for enhancement that will give you the results you desire.

Hi there. Your situation is common in wanting to consider a full rhinoplasty after unsuccessful nonsurgical treatments. Fillers can affect assessment of the nasal profile (depending on volume injected) but not botox. However, neither will significantly affect manipulation of the underlying structural frame of the nose (cartilage/ bone) and therefore it may be possible to proceed with surgery sooner rather than later. Best to organise a consultation with a  fully accredited Plastic Surgeon (BAAPS and/or BAPRAS in the UK). Good luck!

Hi there and thanks for posting,I wouldnt worry too much about the botox in your nose, this will not be affecting the shape.Depending on the type of filler eg hyaluronic acid, you should be able to have that dissolved with a simple injection which will get you back to a baseline for accurate assessment.I hope that helps.Richard
