You shouldn't have piercings for at least 2-4 months. Then, if you talk to your surgeon and get approval, there is no obstacle to having a piercing.
The exact answer to your question depends on what kind of rhinoplasty you are having. If you are only removing a dorsal hump, for instance, that procedure probably would not affect the placement of your nasal piercing. If you are undergoing tip refinement, or narrowing your nose, it's quite likely that the position of your piercing hole would change. However, you can always re-pierce your nose after surgery or even have it done (and the other hole closed) as part of your procedure. Just be sure to be clear about your hopes and expectations during your consultation with a facial plastic surgeon. I hope this helps.
A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish making all of the required changes to the nose with all of the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. Plan on re-piercing the nose at least 3 months after the nasal surgery
The location of your nasal piercing will not affect our rhinoplasty from being able to be done. It may need, however,to be repierced at at later date but not before three months after the surgery.
Your piercing will probably close after rhinoplasty. It can be redone after your surgeon clears you after surgery.
Silkyveins,Thanks for your question. The answer depends on the relationship of the location of your nasal piercing to your nasal cartilages and your rhinoplasty. If you are just having a hump reduction by an endonasal approach, then the area can be left untouched, though if you are having tip work done and your piercing is in an area where the nasal cartilages are planned to be altered, then it may affect surgery, so please discuss this with your surgeon, and let them know that this is a concern for you, and I'm sure you can come up with a surgical plan that fits you well. Good luck!
Although i have many many rhinoplasties on patients who had nasal piercing before or after their surgery the answer to your question depends on the location of the hole. You have many options to maintain your nasal ornament.

Dear Kxxxx, based on your photo and symptoms, there are signs of infection. i would recommend you to visit your plastic surgeon for an examination. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. I would not do an alar base reduction unless you are 100% certain that is what...
You may still have significant soft tissue swelling even after a month. However sometimes closed reductions do not return your nasal bones to their preinjury positions. It may be that you will require a formal rhinoplasty with nasal osteotomies to correct this. However all swelling should be...
Dear Francinefitz,My recommendation is to first get the anemia under control before having an elective surgery as bleeding is a complication of rhinoplasty although rare. Iron supplements should help with iron-deficiency anemia however I would consult with your primary physician to determine...
