Need advice on a second round of fat transfer to the breasts?

I am considering a second round of fat transfer to the breasts and was wondering: 1. What type of discount (if any) do you offer your patients for a second round of fat transfer? 2. How does the recovery of the first round of fat transfer compare to the second surgery? 3. What is the ideal time frame to wait in between the first and second round of fat transfer and why? I plan to ask my plastic surgeon these questions soon but am starting to research this option. Thanks for your help!

The recovery should be about the same as your first procedure.  Any cost would have to be discussed with your surgeon's staff.  I'd wait at least 6 months before another procedure.

I try to avoid performing the surgery more than once, and the average patient achieves about 3/4 cup increase in size.  If a second procedure is indicated, you can usually tell by 6 weeks.  Depending upon healing characteristics, it may be reasonable to perform the second surgery at 3 months.You will need to ask your plastic surgeon the cost of a second round of fat transfer.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Great questions... I might begin by setting you were not a great candidate because you had limited amounts of transferrable fat to begin with. Maybe 300 cc's er side. The if 50% dissolves you would not see any changes.. So I might have turned yu down from the get go! Now to your specific questions #1. Usually my costs only in the $4,000 ranges. #2. About the same. #3. Gain 10+ pounds and 6 months at a minimum. So the issue softens for more lipo and easier fat injections.
