How long after rhinoplasty can I get revision?

Question

I hate my rhinoplasty so much, the surgeon did an awful job. It's worse than before, he listened to nothing I said, my nostrils are uneven and it's pin straight with a slight bump. I wanted even nostrils a swoop button nose look. I want a revision and have it fixed so bad, when is the soonest I can do this?

Most surgeons will recommend waiting at least 12 months before undergoing revision rhinoplasty. This allows time for the nose to heal properly and for swelling to subside before performing a secondary surgery. During this period, keep in close contact with your surgeon and inform them of any changes or complications that may arise over time. It is also important to note that everybody heals differently from one another; so while 12 months is an indicator, some patients may take longer than 12 months for optimal healing results. We recommend to wait 1 year to undergo a revision rhinoplasty, as the swelling can still go down for month and the shape of the nose can still change as a result.

The answer to this question largely depends on how much swelling is still left in your nose. Generally it is best to weight a full year after your primary surgery, but again, it really depends on your examination.
