Had valve and septum surgery a year ago. Right side breathing worse post op nostril hole smaller. My old ENT/Plastic thinks a footplate resection will help but “it’s not an easy job”? sending me to another doc. If I push a toothpick lightly on the Columella base it helps breathing. Are Columella footplate resections common and what is the failure rate? Could my breathing get worse? What other surgical methods are there to thin Columella at base? Cut out soft tissue and suture? Thanks
