Answer: Liposuction Recovery Angelina I appreciate your concern, however the symptoms that you described can certainly be related to your recovery from liposuction and should resolve with time. CONTACT NOW Answer: 9 weeks post with, burning tingling warm itching sensation. Is this normal? Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation and itchiness are normal. I suggest my patients to try the lymphatic massages and to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results. It is important for the compression garment to be very tight, for it to help with the swelling, after surgery. Please, follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)

Answer: Healing Thank you for your question. Yes it is normal to have the sensations you are having post surgery. You have to remember that it takes time for your body to heal. You are just 9 week post surgery. I tell my patients that the first 3 months about 60% of the swelling is gone and at 6 months all the swelling should be resolved, sometimes it does take longer. Once all the swelling is gone the tingling, itching and burning should subside. This is just you body healing from the procedure. Make sure you speak to your surgeon with any concerns you may have. Best of luck.

Answer: 9 weeks post with, burning tingling warm itching sensation. Is this normal? What you are experiencing is not uncommon post op. At this point in time your nerves which were severed during the surgery is starting to regenerate. Over sensitivity is normal as you heal thorough the next few weeks or months. It usually takes around 6 months post op to fully heal.

Answer: Tingling and lumpiness it's not normal to have a firm lumpy areas nine weeks after liposuction. It is not uncommon for patients to have numbness and tingling sensation for up to 2 to 3 months after the procedure. The sensation of tingling warmness and numbness will most likely improve and come back to normal but describing lumpiness at this stage makes me concerned that you will not have a good aesthetic outcome from your procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
