For someone of your size, 2 liters of liposuction aspirate is a significant amount and should show a difference. As you may know, liposuction is an art and a science, and the results are more dependent on the surgeon's skill and expertise than the total volume. In other words, more aspirate is not necessarily better. Best wishes!
For someone your size, 2 liters is a large volume to aspirate. You should look significantly thinner once you fully recover. Although you will see some of your results right away, it takes 3 months to see your final results. Good luck!
I recommend an in-person evaluation. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
When we are performing a liposuction procedure we are trying to achieve a certain result (for example, removal of excess outer thigh fat that is out of balance with the rest of the thigh). Usually we are not trying to remove a specific amount of fat. That being said, 2L is a significant and in most patients there should be a noticeable change I would imagine. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon as they will be able to review your specific procedure in detail.
Dear Educateme4,yes, 2 liters is a lot of lipoaspirate for your body frame and you will probably get good results. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Two liters of fat is a lot of fat. Two liters of lipoaspirate may only be 500 cc of fat in some cases. You may well get to your result, but I cannot answer that based upon the information presented. There is no doubt that you will look much better in the future, and I would not judge results at this point.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Based on your description, for someone your size, 2 lts should be enough to give you visible results. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
Based upon your size/weight, 2 liters of fat aspirated by liposuction will definitely create a difference in your appearance. However, it is important to understand that the amount of fat removed is less important the amount of fat left behind. We all need a certain amount of fat to remain in place to produce smooth surfaces and avoid irregularities. Don't get focused on a liposuction amount. Sometimes less is better
Based on your BMI, very likely yes, a good difference should be noticeable. But that depends on your expectations and your body habitus (shape) and where the fat is taken from.In my practice, we don't target a specific amount of fat to be removed. We target a shape that the patient is looking for. The way I like to think about it, is if you are trying to make a sculpture out of marble, it doesn't really matter how much marble you've chipped away that's laying on the floor, what matters is how the sculpture looks.I would recommend having an in person consultation with an experienced BCPS to discuss your goals and expectations.I hope this helps!
I have never taken that much aspirate out of someone your size. I suspect that would leave some unpleasant results.
Hi - thank you for your question. I generally don't advise my patients to do this at all after these procedures. I find that they don't enhance the results, but they are uncomfortable and expensive.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I believe liposuction alone will leave with loose skin. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)
