I have a big dent in my forehead which has been there for as long as I can remember. It looks particularly bad in certain lights, but not as noticeable in others. I even have fine wrinkles that sit inside the dent, which make me even more self conscious about it. I imagine Botox will just make this stand out more, but I wonder if some kind of filler (and if so, what kind and how much?) could help?
Answer: Fillers Can Be Helpful For Elevating & Smooth Bone-Related "Dents" Of The Forehead From the photos, it would appear that the "dent" that disturbs you is from an underlying, skull-related, bony issue. However, the overlying tissue can certainly be filled by the use of a volumizing filler in order to elevate and smooth this region. The fine horizontal wrinkles that are forming there are a very early stage of the typical age-related, dynamic "worry lines" that disturb most people with their appearance in the mid-thirties to forties (or even sometimes much younger). These lines can be easily addressed with a neuromodulator, such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin. The added benefit of doing so is that filler results typically last considerably longer when Botox is combined with them, as the reduction in surrounding movement slows the natural metabolic breakdown of the filler product. Injecting the forehead is an advanced injection technique that should not be left to the hands of novice injectors accustomed only to injecting simple laugh lines. Be sure that you consult a board certified aesthetic physician. Best of luck and Happy New Year..

Answer: Yes Yes, it would be reasonable to use fillers to contour your forehead. Injecting fat to the area is also an option. Botox may be useful in combination with fillers to prevent dynamic movement in the area, making the treatment last longer.

Answer: Fillers in Forehead Thank you for your question! Fillers can definitely help to fill the area of shadowing you are referring to in your forehead. Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a type of sugar you already have in your skin. This area is a delicate area to inject because of he vessels that are present in the forehead and the risk of injecting in a vessel, which can be dangerous. I highly recommend that you see a experienced injector for this procedure. Hope this helps!

Answer: Filler for forehead volume loss/dents Thank you for your question! The area of shadowing that you’re describing is due to your bone’s natural contour. Is it also normal to have volume loss in this area, which is treatable with dermal filler. Dermal filler is composed of a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, something your body already produces. Filler in this area can improve shadowing and restore volume. It’s important to see an experienced injector for this treatment since there are significant arteries in this area. Treating the area in combination with a neuromodulator (like Botox) will help the treatment last longer since neuromodulators relax muscle and can help slow your body’s metabolism of the filler. Good luck on your aesthetic journey!
