Answer: What happens when I come to hospital for rhinoplasty? This might be dependent on the clinic, but when you come to our hospital for your rhinoplasty, you will be taken to the ward and you’ll be shown your room, that’s where I’ll come and see you before we go to theatre. I will have reviewed all your notes, all your photographs, all the analysis we’ve done and all your wishes and hopes so that I’m fully conversant with everything that’s gone before. We won’t talk for a long time before rhinoplasty because you’ll know everything at that stage and it’s a quick review really, just so you know that I’m in the zone for you. You’ll also see my anaesthetist, he’ll talk to you about what he does. He can answer any concerns you have and we’ll put your mind at rest. It’s not long after that the nurses come and escort you to the operating room and before your know it, you will be asleep and your operation will be finished.

Answer: What happens when I come to the hospital for a rhinoplasty? The following sequence happens in our practice, but each practice is different depending upon the surgeon and the location of the surgery. After the consultation And a few weeks before the surgery, a pre-op appointment for an examination/consultation occurs at which time the nurses discuss all the pre-op and post-operative issues and instructions. Additional questions are answered by the physician at that point. The day before the surgery, patients are told what time to check into the outpatient surgery center. The day of the surgery patients check-in, and sign the respective paperwork, and are greeted by the front office staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon who all preparing the patient for the surgical procedure of rhinoplasty. The patient is then brought into the operating room and placed to sleep under general anesthesia by a board-certified physician anesthesiologist. The surgery is performed in a Medicare certified and state licensed outpatient surgery center. Once the procedure is completed, patient's wake up in the recovery room and then are discharged home once they are awake and stable with their responsible caretaker.
