Is there any face / lip shape that would not suit a lip lift? (Photo)

Question

Bullhorn (or similar) lip lift in 60 year old female. Am I suitable candidate? I don’t want just the central part lifted as it would change me but I’m asking is it surgically possible for the whole upper lip be lifted in equal proportion eg no more than 2mm the whole way across the top vermillion border? Just to get me back to how I was a few years ago?

Hello Soph61,
You appear to be a great candidate for surgical lip lift. Lip lifts are one of my favorite procedures to perform because of the dramatic effect they can have on rejuvenating the entire face. Your upper lip has certainly elongated over the course of your life and performing a lip lift would help increase the height of your red lip, increase tooth show and rejuvenate the white lip. In my opinion, the results of a lip lift are much more natural than filler, and even better, they're permanent. It's a simple operation that does not require patients to undergo general anesthesia.

Yes, from the picture you have sent us it seems like it is possible to lift the upper lip with upper Lip Lift surgery. The appropriate design will be a bullhorn type of incision, in order to achieve a similar lift between the side part and the central part of the lip.

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.  You appear to be an excellent candidate for this procedure.
