Can the corners of my mouth be lifted during a lip lift?

A lip lift can be extended laterally around the side of the nose. This is done to pull up the corners of the lip. The way this is done is by taking more tissue laterally then centrally. This technique avoids the bunny look.

Subnasal lip lifts, no matter how they are performed, have a very minimal impact on the corners of the mouth. This is a simple matter of geometry as the area of tissue removal is far inside from the line of pull from the tissue excision. Whatever minimal change noit can create may be enough for some but that would depend on what degree of mouth corner change the patient desires. if your goal is to only have the mouth corners and the very outer edge of the lip lifted (which is what you are describing) you would be better served by a direct lateral vermilion advancement which does quite well in men due to their beard skin.
