Will dental surgery cause problems after fat injections?

Question

I had a facelift and fat grafting to face 4 months ago. I am having problems with a upper back tooth and may need an extraction - will the trauma of the surgery damage the grafted fat?

It really should have no effect. The fat has had enough time to develop it’s own blood supply and should therefore be fine.

You may consider yourself fully healed after four months with regards to fat injections. Dental surgery should not have an effect on the settling of the fat. There is always a small chance that the removal of a tooth could cause a slight contour change although this is possible with or without having had surgery.
