Had Beletro injected under my eyes 11 days ago. Immediately under one I had severe bruising the other a bump.

Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to experiencing some bruising or swelling in the tear trough areas after filler treatment, especially since the skin is thin in the areas. Depending on the extent of bruising and swelling, they typically resolve within days to weeks after treatment. We recommend to our patient to allow for two weeks for the filler to settle out and to follow-up at that time for re-evaluation if they have any concerns with their appearance. I recommend you seek re-evaluation with your provider who can discuss with you how best to address your issues, including possibly reversing the filler. The tear trough areas are often tough to treat as the filler can sometimes be more visible or palpable superficially if overtreated. Belotero usually lasts for six months up to a year or even longer depending on the patient.  

It can take 1-2 weeks for swelling and/or bruising to resolve after tear trough injections. Icing, arnica and VBeam treatments can give improvement. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get improvement under the eyes. I recommend lasers, microneedling/prp with fillers. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It can take up to 2 weeks for swelling and bruising from tear trough injections to go away. The skin in this area is very thin. You can help with very light ice pack, not applying too much pressure and trying Arnica. If after 2 weeks, you are still having significant swelling then return to your injector and have them evaluate you.
