How long does it take to see results after Belotero injections in the under-eye area? (Photos)

It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with tear trough fillers. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement for under the eyes. I recommend fillers with lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. It can take up to a month for filler around the under eyes to settle to see what it will really look like.  You could still be slightly bruised and swollen. If you aren't happy with the way it looks after an entire month after you've been injected, go back to your injector and have them give you professional opinion. Sometimes, you don't need to take it all out maybe just some of it. Tear troughs/under eye area is tough area to correct and swelling/bruising is common.  Make sure to be drinking lots of water to decrease as much swelling as possible. If you don't love it after a month, talk to your provider. Good luck!

The results of Belotero are immediate. Perhaps, you're seeing the need for more dermal filler material. I suggest you speak with your injector about whether you need more volume to get an ideal result. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Hello,Belotero is an Hyaluronic Acid Filler.  Therefore we can use an enzyme (Hyaluronidase) to dissolve it.Filler correction after 2 weeks would be ideal time. Sometime I would try to add some volume in the cheek apples which would help and improve the look. Swelling, bruising, and altered color are all common events seen after dermal filler treatment in your area of concern which needs enough time to completely heal. Every person does not react the same and that has to be considered as well. Continue a good skin care regimen including plenty of sun screen. I recommend that you follow up closely with your provider if it is taking longer than usual to see final results for further medical advise. Tear trough injections are challenging with any agent you choose. I prefer Hyaluronic Acid filler that can be placed directly on the bone...not soft tissue structures. The chances of product showing with this technique is minimized. Good luck with your treatment. Something to consider in the future is PRP under your eyes. Platelet Rich Plasma.
