Why do I still have a bump on my nose after rhinoplasty?

The swelling may become overtime in fibrosis; may the fribosis persist after 8-10 months you'd be a candidate for a mini-touch up under local and sedation. However, may the problem be an insufficient dorsal shave, the bone and the cartilage be persistent or, in any case, should you dislike the shape or style of nose, then you'd need a full revision under total anesthesia.If you wish better grounded opinion well lit, focused and standard images have to be assessed: frontal, both lateral and both oblique views, also underneath the nostrils.

All Rhinoplasty surgeons will tell you that you cannot judge the results for 12months due to swelling and changes that occur over time. You need to meet your surgeon to discuss your feelings. 

Sometimes if there is a small residual deformity after a rhinoplasty, it can be addressed in the office under local anesthesia and with rasping.  I would recommend waiting about 2 months to ensure all swelling is resolved. 

It always helps to have an available picture. I'm sure you know, but it is way too early. Many people drive themselves crazy trying to wish the final result is today. Give it a break. At two months you should have ninety per cent of your result. If, at that time, you still have the issue you speak of, then discuss in detail with your surgeon.All the best,Talmage Raine MD
