Hello ;Most of our Rhinoplasty patients return to work in 1 week after their cast is removed however the final settling of the nose with take up to 12 months.Thank you
Any nose, rim grafts are not relevant here, is non socially acceptable between 2 to 4 weeks; depending on the evolution and the social requirements, of course.
There îs minimal visible swelling from alar rim grafts alone. There would just be swelling along the edge of the nostril and the nostrils may appear a bit wider from the front view. Usually the cartilage is taken from your septum so you will have some nasal congestion. You should be socially acceptable really in a few days if this is the only procedure you are having done. If however you are having a complete rhinoplasty then 2 weeks is more realistic. I hope this helps and good luck with your surgery.
Initial visible swelling is a few weeks after placement of the grafts, however full healing and integration of the grafts into the tip of the nose will be one year.
Any surgery on the nose can lead to prolonged swelling of a year or longer. Most bruising will go away in 1-2 weeks.
Thanks for the question. You should wait 2-3 weeks because your operation area trying to get healed. Then after yes you can do smoke and drink. I wish you all the best.
In our practice, we allow patients to start back to their normal routine of exercise two weeks after the surgical procedure. It's important not to get bumped in the nose for at least a month. For more information, please see the link and the video below
