If I'm allergic to gauze pads what is the alternative for me?

A tummy tuck procedure requires no postoperative dressings.  So even if you have an allergy to gauze you should be fine.

There are plenty of alternatives to gauze dressings. You may proceed with the operation with alternative wound management strategy.

I recommend to my patients that they can use panty liners (unscented) or wear a clean long t-shirt under the binder. Guaze pads are not necessary if they irritate you.
