As long as your ulcers are well controlled with medications and you have clearance for surgery, you should be fine.  I would make sure everyone taking care of you is aware so they don't give you any medications that could make them worse during or after your surgery.

While those symptoms are normal early on, 11 days postop is something to investigate because of your hiatal hernia history.  Consult your plastic surgeon and a GI doc, as he may be able to treat the symptoms with medications until they subside
