There is not a contraindication to having a facelift after a rhinoplasty. Ideally you would wait until bruising and edema have resolved, but otherwise there is not a minimum amount of time required between the surgeries. I have some patients that will have a facelift and a rhinoplasty at the same time!
Ideally one would expect you to wait at least 3 months, preferably 6 months. True That your nose will continue to reform after rhinoplasty for as long as 12-24 months, but these are very minor changes and unaffected by the facelift surgery.
This is a good question and surgeons will have different preferences. If the swelling has gone down it is reasonable to proceed. A 3 month interval is sensible. Also bear in mind rhinoplasty for the aging nasal tip is often carried out at the same time as a facelift so this also depends on what is needs for your rhinoplasty
Thank you for your question! It is typical to perform another surgery once the initial settling has taken place from the previous procedure. As the swelling and healing doesn't settle for a good few months, only until you have fully settled, you can then go ahead with the other surgery. Of course consult with a the verified board of plastic surgeons if you need any further assistance and guidance on this.Good luck!
These are two different anatomical areas so aside forthe swelling associated with the nose job or any othermedical considerations the decision will depend on your surgeon preferences and if you are ready for anotherrecovery period for your facelift revision. More importantis how long since your original facelift operation.Best wishes.
DEAR KISSEKATTThank you for your question! The timing will depend on your surgeon - typically if the swelling is resolved you can do the facial surgery. Swelling after Rhinoplasty can take a few months to settle down. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD
The decision would be up to the individual surgeon and depends on some circumstances but three weeks would be plenty of time.
I think that a facelift revision could be done anytime after a rhinoplasty. In fact, they could be done at the same time. I would discuss this with your particular surgeon or surgeons, as they may feel differently.
Hello,It can be depend on your healing process, according your recovery it can be performed after 2 months later. The decision should be up to the individual surgeon and patient's condition.
Yes, I would highly recommend a revision with potential fat grafting. This can happen when there is excessive resection of the fat on the skin of the neck flap. Or this may be due to over aggressive tightening of the neck muscle with inadequate skin resection. I would highly recommend seeing a...
I would recommend a revision facelift/necklift. You can see there is a cobra neck deformity. This means that the fat in between the platysma was over-resected but the structures off the midline were inadequately treated. This can only be addressed with revisionary surgery.
Thank you for your question and pictures. It not uncommon for people to repeat a facelift as they do not want the jowls to return to maybe how they were. I would suggest waiting a few more years before thinking about having another. If you had one now the change would be minimal. It wou...
This is a severely challenging problem to fix in the neck. This is due to inadequate primary treatment of the neck at the initial surgery. The muscles were not adequately addressed. The fat was inadequately sculpted. The large glands of the neck were not treated. This requires a very...
Thank you for your question. If a patient needs a revision, it will normally be performed between 6-12 months after the surgery or when your surgeon feels everything has settled and healed. When having a revision you want to minimise the risks as much as possible, therefore sometimes waiting a...
Hi, I wonder if this facelift was done with fat injection? If so, then that is probably the reason why the cheeks are too prominent. In either case, I would say that based on your description it might be difficult to correct the problem right now. I would need to have detailed information about...
