4 months post facelift, after spending almost $10,000, I look no better than before my procedure, what are my options? (Photos)

I would recommend a revision facelift/necklift. You can see there is a cobra neck deformity. This means that the fat in between the platysma was over-resected but the structures off the midline were inadequately treated. This can only be addressed with revisionary surgery.

Submitting good preop pictures may help us on furtherrecommendations. Before and after pictures are very importantin addressing a patient concerns. Best wishes.

I certainly see the platysma bands you have.  i wonder if they were dealt with at the time if your surgery.  if so you would have a scar under the chin.   even if this was done the bands canbrecur and require secondary surgery.

It's hard to be sure based on just photos, but I think that there is a possibility that you and your doctor could both be right.  There's not much a surgeon can safely do with enlarged salivary glands which can lead to a disappointing result.  But it does look like you have some platysmal banding and loose skin which could be safely tightened (without five hours of surgery).  Good luck!

I think that your surgeon is correct in assigning blame on your saliva glands in the area below your mandible. However, the left sided platysma band can be improved. Botox injections can soften the band. Minor surgery on the front aspect of the platysma muscle is another technique for alleviating the neck band. 

Consider posting before photos for comparison.  It is a little easier to discuss your result if we could see what you started with.  It is obvious you need neck revision surgery.   Since you are not happy with your surgeon, ask his or her office for your records.  Your new surgeon will want to review those.  

well, if your contention is that you don't look any better, then you need to send in pictures that show what you looked like before. If you don't like how you look, that's something else, but as no one can really operate on peoples happiness, it gets very subjective.
 Recurrent platysma bands are common in facelift surgery, it's not because something wasn't done right, it's because the muscle still has its nerve supply and contraction makes the bands come back.  If there was a safe way to remove that nerve supply, neck surgery would be a lot more predictable.   Some people remove glands in the neck. It is not commonly done as the majority of plastic surgeons think that the risk for a cosmetic operation doesn't justify the results. Botox or dysport   have a modest effect on gland size.  As I see it your problem is not so much glands, but the digastric muscle.
