My patients are permitted to resume athletic activity as soon as they feel comfortable doing so. Your particular situation should be defined by your own surgeon however.
Liposuction is definitely much easier recovery then a tummy tuck. You can often start gentle exercise within a couple weeks. I would wait another couple of weeks for rigorous exercise or if you had an extensive amount of liposuction.

Please discuss this with your surgeon.Generally, I allow liposuction patients to resume most basic exercises about 2 weeks after surgery. However, often it is best to wait a few weeks more if the exercise involves flexing and stretching the specific areas that were operated on.Best wishes.
Thanks for the question. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within 1-2 weeks depending on their tolerance and stamina. Any contact sports such as hockey, football, or soccer would best be delayed for 4-6 weeks. Check with your physician for his/her guidelines.
Something is amiss if you have an open wound 40 days after liposuction. My guess is that the liposuction was assisted by a laser or ultrasound which is created a significant thermal injury to the skin. You should consult a board-certified plastic surgeon for proper care.
