Please would you advise when I can wear my retainers (invisible) after a facelift and fat grafting?

After facelift (rhytidectomy) and fat grafting you will be able to wear a dental retainer almost immediately as it will have no effect on your healing or the final result of your surgery.

Good question. You should be able to wear it several days after the surgery, depending on your amount of swelling and your comfort level. Consult your surgeon for definite advice

I would allow patients to wear their retainers immediately after surgery. However, your surgeon might have different thoughts and your question is best directed to your chosen surgeon. 

In my practice you would be permitted to wear your retainers immediately after a facelift. The question should be addressed however to your own surgeon.

Thanks for posting the question.  Assuming there are no incisions inside your mouth from any additional procedures, it would be fine to wear them right even the same day after surgery in my opinion.  Many times patients will ask when they can wear dentures and the answer is the same.  Of course you should ask your surgeon for his instructions.  

You should ask your surgeon, since the answer varies by practitioner. I allow my patients to wear their retainers at 3 weeks.
