What will 480cc UHP implants look like on me and will the give me the DD cup I'm wanting? (photos)

I've checked and everyone's pictures are so varied, I'm desperate to know if 480cc UHP implants are big enough to get me to a DD+ I already wear padded bras with fillets so I want to look bigger than I do wearing them.. Will I need bigger implants?

Thank you for your question and photo.  It is impossible to know how exactly how you will look after an operation before it happens.  It is equally as difficult to predict cup size beforehand. Thank you for your inquiry and congratulations on considering a breast augmentation surgery.You are correct that the same size of a breast implant we look different on different patients.This is due to several factors including the bone structure, the skin laxity, the volume of the breast parenchyma, the history of nursing, Etc.That being said, you can use the rice bags test two approximate how 480 cc implants will look like on you: you can sales stockings with rice using measuring cups to reach the 480 cc volume.I recommend that you schedule a consultation with a well experienced board certified plastic surgeon who can help you make the educated decision you are looking for. Thanks for posting your question.Ultra high profile implants will give you a very "augmented" look, as opposed to a natural look. If this is what you are after, then they might be the right sort of implants to choose.However, bra sizing is very unscientific, and there is no way of guaranteeing that a particular implant will get you to a specific bra size. Most women will find they can go to several different bra shops and come out with a variety of bra sizes after all!The best thing is to consult with a plastic surgeon in person who can measure your breasts and chest and discuss with you the best implant to achieve your goals.Good luck!

Thanks for your question.  You're correct that the result of a certain implant size looks very different on each person and even the bra size achieved will different.  The person's own breast and body type affects the outcome.  Rather than focusing on a particular bra size I would suggest consulting with your surgeon and trying on sizers to get a better sense of the best implants for your body type.

It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. A "DD" breast may differ in size depending on Bra manufacturer or even person to person. You need to select an experienced plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 350 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. . Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in the below link.

In my practice, we select the profile based on the desired breast implant size and base diameter of the breast.  Without examining you, it is not possible to determine which profile and size would be appropriate for you.  Please discuss this further with a board certified plastic surgeon who can give you better advice than what can be given in this forum.

Take a couple ziplock bags and use your kitchen measuring cups to measure out rice in those bags around the size your are considering.  Wear those for a day and see if you like that size and weight.  Adjust accordingly to get your ideal size.

Hi thereThanks for your question.Sizing is very much an individual process and using the rice bag trick or Biodimensional sizers which I use in my practice can be very useful to help you come to a final decision.Based on your pictures alone with your start off breast, you should get a very nice result regardless of the size. However, I agree with one of the other comments that a smaller size might still get you to the approximate cup size that you desire but please remember it is much better to think of absolute volumes rather than cup sizes as bra manufacturers in the UK are all very different. Profiles can be very confusing to most patients and I tend not to use this as virtually all implants we use are high profile! The projection of an implant (the profile) is a consequence of your breast width and the size implant you are hoping for.Good luck

Your best bet when you are trying to decide on implants is to try on sizers of the exact implant you are considering inside a very tight sports bra. This will give you a close idea of what you will look like. More importantly the dimensions or width of the implants need to match and fit your frame and body.
