Will breast size increase after implants drop and fluff?

Do breast implants generally appear quite small immediately after breast augmentation or breast implant exchange? And do they "show up" and appear larger as they drop and fluff?

dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.

The implants do not change in size. But, as they settle down, your own breast fills out better with the implant in place and you have less upper chest fullness from where the implant originally sat.

The breasts often times do appear different immediately after surgery versus several weeks later.  There is swelling associated with surgery that takes time to resolve.  Also the implants right after surgery may be held higher by the muscle if placed subpectorally.  The appearance will change as the muscle relaxes and accommodates the implant.  The breasts may also sit differently in a bra right after surgery versus after recovery.  An implant exchange that includes a volume change can alter things as well.

You are talking apples and oranges in mentioning breast augmentation and breast implant exchange in the same context.  In first time breast augmentation quite the opposite of what you are asking is true.  Initially the implants will be high and full, and the breasts swollen.  As tissues relax, stretch and swelling decreases the implants settle, soften and often appear smaller.  With a simple same size breast implant exchange (if there is such a thing) the tissue stretching and relaxation has already occurred and there will be very little change in the breast appearance.
