You have nice full lips currently, so I would recommend beginning with 1ml of filler. The great thing about this treatment is that you can go slowly and build up the look that you want. If you enjoyed your results before you can anticipate that a similar amount of product will give you a similar result.
There are surgical and non-surgical approaches to lip augmentation. Non-surgical approaches include botox (slight lift, reducing gum show) and filler (volume restoration). Surgically, you can have two separate incisions under the nose (italian), one incision under the nose (bull horn), one incision at the red/white upper lip junction (gull wing) or two separate incision at the corners, or a combination, depending on your desired look and anatomy. My preferred surgical technique is called the Elelyft, which is a version of the bullhorn approach. In your situation, would start with 1 syringe and evaluate it from there.Consult with an experienced lip surgeon for a complete range of options that are appropriate for your situation.Gary Linkov, MDLip Specialist / RealSelf Lip Lift Medical ReviewerManhattan
I would suggest starting with 1cc and then adding successively every 2-4 weeks after till you are happy with the goals. We recommend at home dermarolling and lip hydrators and plumper as well (see link to emeragecosmetics.com where we do free skincare consults daily). Best, Dr. Emer.
Dear joycepanayides,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you already have full lips. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello, your lips look pretty full as they are. I would start by injecting no more than 1 syringe (1ml) at a time. After your swelling goes down you can reevaluate and decide if you would like to do more or not.
You have full lips at present, so I'd suggest putting 1ml into the lips (so as not to overdo it), waiting 2 weeks, and at that point deciding if you'd like to add another 1ml at that time. More important than quantity is ensuring that you have a highly trained & experienced physician injector such as a dermatologist for optimal results and safety.
Hello and thank you for your question. From looking at your picture it looks like your lips are already pretty full. Personally, I don’t think you need any filler. However if you really want it I suggest starting with a minimal amount as to not look too unnatural. See a reputable doctor for advice. Best wishes.Dr. T
Your lips appear to be fairly full so adding more filler may produce an unnatural and overfilled look. There are different types of fillers, however. You could use a soft filler, such as Volbella, to work on improving the border and cupids bow, or the new Restylane Kysse, which can add a slight plump and a crisp border. Each syringe is 1ml and I would suggest only getting one syringe at one time. Hope that answers your question!
It would have been helpful to see the whole face in relationship to your lips in a photograph but since one is not available, it appears that your lips are plenty full and I would not even add any more product at this point in time. I think less sometimes is more and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
If you don’t remember how much filler the first time and you get your medical records and ask how much filler was used. That should tell you what the appropriate amount to use might be for future treatments.People with relatively full lives to start with and tolerate higher volumes of filler without a natural.Personally I think one cc is plenty for you.If you work with longer lasting fillers like voluma less product seems to go a longer way. One mL will give you more volume and last longer.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
