About lip filler lumps? (photos)

If you developed lumps and bumps in the lips after augmentation, you need to first identify the product used for your lip augmentation.  If the procedure was completed with a hyaluronic acid filler, it can be easily reversed with a simple injection of hyaluranidase.  This can be completed at any time and may require more than one treatment.If the lip filler was something else, it can be more difficult to correct your issue.  For this reason, I will only use hyaluranic acid fillers or in office lip augmentation.  Personally, I love Restylane Silk for this indication.I hope this helps.    

Sorry to hear about your lip augmentation experience.  I would recommmend that you visit with your plastic surgeon who may be able to inject them with an enzyme to dissolve the lumps directly if a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler was used.  Alternatively, you may need to excise or lance the nodules to see if some of the material can be expressed.

Thank you for your question. If you had lip augmentation with a hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm or Restylane, you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. I recommend having a follow up with your injector for an evaluation. Best of Luck!

I think I answered you back when you originally were injected. I thought that they needed hyaluronidase then, and I still do now. The injector put too much in the upper lip. I'd start over by removing the filler and going to a different injector.
