I am interested in getting liposuction for my back and belly with some body contouring but based on my photos would a tummy tuck with lipo be a better option? I want to have children in the future so i don't want to run into complications later in life from having a previous tummy tuck. What would be a good idea?

Answer: Liposuction or tummy tuck From the submitted photos you will have the best results from a tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring. This will address excess fat and skin. Liposuction alone may leave you with too much skin laxity. If you are planning children soon it is best to wait until after you have completed your family to consider the tummy tuck. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Liposuction with or without I highly recommend choosing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for your procedure to achieve optimal results. It is recommended that you have children first but if that’s 5 years or more down the road,, go ahead and get the lipo. I recommend Vaser liposuction to help tighten the skin in the areas being liposuctioned. You could add a mini Abdominoplasty as well to remove the excess skin from the abdomen, it would not effect your ability to conceive but would possibly need revised after childbirth. If you would like to be seen by my office for a consultation, feel free to reach out. Smith Plastic Surgery 702-838-2455

Answer: Excess skin Thank you for uploading your photos. You have some excess skin creating a pouch below the belly button. For that reason I recommend a tummy tuck (not a long scar) to address it, as liposuction does not improve the skin excess. Having kids is possible after a tummy tuck
