In the hands of a talented surgeon, it should be very easy to harvest at 150 mL of fat from H and her thigh without creating any contour, irregularity or skin disturbance. This is a very conservative amount of fat the harvest. That said inner thigh, Liposuction is technically difficult, and this is an area prone to contour irregularities when done by surgeons, lacking skill and experience. While arms have the potential for much better results than inner thighs, arms also can be technically challenging for those who lack sufficient experience. I suggest all patients select surgeons very carefully through multiple in person, consultations before scheduling surgery. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients with similar body characteristics. an experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many of these procedures they’ve actually performed. if having liposuction of one anatomic area is the goal then you should see results of that area having been treated and patients who look similar to you multiple times with consistent quality outcomes. Highly experienced surgeons shit in fact have hundreds or preferably thousands of before, and after pictures to choose from. Poorly done liposuction can leave people disfigured and correcting poorly done work is very difficult, and sometimes not possible. Being bored, certified in plastic surgery with years of experience does not necessarily mean somebody has mastered anyone single procedure especially not Liposuction or fat transfer. I generally recommend patients have multiple consultations before choosing a provider. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. Considering how much variation there is in Liposuction skills among plastic surgeons, I think, having at least five consultations seems reasonable before selecting a provider. In the hands of the right provider, they should be able to show you lots of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had the same procedure so you would know exactly what your results should look like.
