Liposuction concerns. Do I need a revision? (Photo)

I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides  you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.

Great question. Thank you for your pictures. However, you mention you are 9 weeks post op. You are still early in your recovery process. It can take up to six months to see your final results. There still swelling present. Keep following up with your surgeon. 

Pending a formal evaluation, you may be a good candidate for a Revision Liposuction. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. 
The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. Dear jenniferrh,Thank you for your question.  From your photo it appears that things look normal for this point in time.  Without the benefit of knowing your full history or being able to do a complete exam it is difficult to give an informed opinion.  However you look, in general, normal for this early point in your recovery and I would expect the contour to smooth out with time.  Talk to your surgeon about your concerns & good luck.  hope this helpsJames Sheridan, MD

Liposuction removes subcutaneous fat and does not tighten the skin.  Sometimes after the procedure the skin can become more loose, it is not predictable.  You may need a procedure to tighten your skin if it is bothersome to you.Good Luck!

patients typically see results approaching final at around six weeks.  In my opinion people see about 80% of their final results at that time.  Results are not final but close enough that people were not happy at six weeks will not be happy with her final results. People who are happy with the results as six weeks typically would love the results at three months when the results are final.  Defects from technically inferior work tends to become more apparent as the swelling goes down.  Whether you'll be pleased with your results, would benefit from a revision it's in the eyes of the beholder and much depends on where you started.  Your single picture is only a single snapshot in time.  Follow up with your provider.  Discuss your concerns with him or her.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
