Can I get liposuction for the banana roll under my butt?

the buttock roll needs to be treated carefully often this needs internal heating and lifting NOT just liposuction/ please post photos. thigh lift with hidden scar does very well.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty or thigh lifting or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, liposuction might not be the best option for banana rolls. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Yes you can... but just liposuction is not really effective, just a partial improvement. You better should add an skin removal, but if very worried about scars, you can try with the lipo but more skin attach.

Very careful! Do not go to some cosmetic surgeon who took a weekend course to learn liposuction. That area is very tricky and can be fraught with the risk of ruining the fold. The banana roll is a skinfold and does not represent excess fat.

For this reason Liposuction does not work well and is more likely to leave you with disfigurement or undesirable outcomes rather than fixing the area.

In an upright standing position the skin on the back of your thigh is pressed into your buttocks in a contracted state. This allows for full hip flexion. If you stand in front of a mirror and keep your legs straight and slowly bend your hips you’ll see that the area takes the appropriate shape and contour as the skin gradually becomes tight.

This is very similar to what the lower abdomen does in a sitting position.

The difference is that the banana roll is push together in a standing position.

Liposuction of this area commonly creates contour irregularities and they are difficult to fix. typically liposuction results are permanent and irreversible.

I would encourage you to not get liposuction of this area. It doesn’t work.

To put things in context I’ve been a board-certified plastic surgeon for over 20 years. About 10 Years ago I began focusing all of my career exclusively on just liposuction and fat transfer procedures. I performed over 7000 Liposuction procedures to date and currently perform about 400 per year.

I have treated this area unsuccessfully enough times and seen enough botched cases to know where Liposuction works and where it doesn’t.

Best case scenario from Liposuction you just won’t see the results you were hoping for. Worst case scenario you’ll have an indentation and disfigured contour.

Either way it’s a waste of money, medical resources and this particular procedure has a completely skewed risk benefit ratio.

If any provider seems more optimistic about this you should ask to see at least 20 sets of before and after pictures of successful treatments of this area with no other simultaneous treatment like fat transfer.

If someone can’t show successful outcomes then you certainly don’t want to be the first one on the chopping block for a procedure that some of us know doesn’t work.

I think I’ve emphasized my point enough.

Perhaps take the money and start a Roth 401(k).
